The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAWR) 2002 necessitates the protection of all company employees and non-employees (i.e. contractors and visitors) that may be exposed to asbestos throughout their normal working activities, whether by direct or incidental exposure.

Most companies lack the knowledge as to what products contain asbestos which prevents them from making a good assessment of the risk and fulfilling their legal ‘management duties’ including:

• Maintaining a written/electronic record of the presumed/verified asbestos materials.
